Transition Requires Boldness

In late 2002, early 2003 we began to hear prophetically that we had entered a time in which Ishmael and Isaac could no longer live in the same house. We are watching a great separation take place in the Body of Christ worldwide. This separation produces a spiritual phenomenon: works of the flesh attacking works of the Spirit with a new level of intensity. As God's remnant Body moves into its call to "Sonship" (Romans 8:14), the attacks against this remnant will intensify, often coming from the most unlikely of sources - those with whom we have a close relationship. The initial thrust of the attack is to keep us from moving on into the higher dimension. Its intent is containment. Containment will attempt to exploit any weakness in our spiritual makeup, often playing upon our fears, traditions, soulish relationships, and legalistic religious interpretation of scripture. When Satan cannot contain us with sins of the flesh, he moves into the subtle world of the spirit, keeping us out of God's divine destiny by playing upon our DOUBT! Doubt produces disobedience and disobedience is sin.

Those being prepared to breakout of the "old wineskin" in search of "new wine," will face much resistance, but "we are not ignorant of Satan's devices used to gain advantage over humans." Those who will make this break will be those who REFUSE to get their direction from the arena of logic and reason, who have learned to hear God and obey, and WHO HAVE COMPLETELY OVERCOME THEIR FEAR OF MAN. This writing is to encourage those on the precipice of a genuine breakthrough. A breakthrough will beget a breakout, and a breakout will produce destiny (Revelation 18:4). All breakthroughs require courage and trust (Read Joshua Chapter One). As my friend Robert McKnight often says, "You will always have what you have always had, if you always do what you have always done!" A God ordered breakout requires that you take a bold step. God will give you the courage and the ability if you will ask Him.

Have you felt in your heart that you were powerfully being led to something out of the ordinary for you - something so different that it produces spiritual excitement, and yet a form of fear in the natural? BREAKOUT! Your time to move has come. Your time to oppose those forces aligned against you is here. Take the step now without fear. "With wisdom get understanding." Wisdom is the direction of God, while understanding is the 'how to.' God will show you what to do and how to do it, but you must take that first step.

God is calling His Church to a dimension beyond the simple joy of being Spirit-filled Christians: He is calling us into the dimension of being Spirit-led Christians. As the prophet Joel so accurately saw, "His Spirit is being poured out on all flesh." For years I limited this prophetic scripture to a one-dimensional evangelistic view of many souls being added to the Kingdom, and I do think that to be so; but I now see an additional prophetic dimension that includes God's Spirit being poured out more upon my own flesh individually. We, as individuals, have more of God's Spirit available to us than ever, as our flesh succumbs to the power of the Holy Spirit.

As we grow in the things of the Spirit, so too will the things of the flesh come to oppose - this is as natural as a fish swimming in the sea, and this will be so until the end of time. Don't be caught unaware as to where this resistance can come from: expect this from your friends, expect it from your family, expect it from your pastor, or others from whom you least expect it. Expect it! Resist it! Overcome it! BECOME MORE THAN A CONQUORER! Move on up and into the higher dimension with God. Be Bold!
