President Visits US Army
(Prophetically Linked To The Army Of God)

Written By Clay Sikes and Dickie Welch

During early 1999, Bob Jones spoke prophetically that a burning bush would come out of Texas and set righteous government in Washington. This was revealed prior to announced candidacies and before anyone took George Bush seriously. Some speculated that the “burning bush” would be Ross Perot, not realizing that, in fact, a literal Bush would be elected to the highest office in the land. As you may recall, then Governor Bush went to a number of respected Church leaders for guidance and prayer relative to running for the Presidency. The consensus among those leaders was unanimous.

As with others who have previously acknowledged this prophetic revelation and its connection with the recent Presidential election, we too conclude that powerful parallels are now taking place between what is going on in Washington and what is going on in the Church.

It has been stated that the close election was a sign of the war in the heavenlies – a war being fought for righteous government. This righteous government is designed to replace the previous administration, fraught with ineptness, lacking character and power, and thus losing its place as a credible witness in the world. The power and credibility of our government is being restored by a new order. Similarly, the Church has suffered much the same; ineptness, lack of power and credibility, and character failings. Only when God’s righteous government is in place will God’s power and authority come forth. God richly desires the Church to operate in His divine power but until the proper government is inaugurated, this will not happen. Many are resisting this government, satisfied with the status quo, many are unwilling to change, but most sit in blithe ignorance of a better way than what we now have. Scripture tells us that in the end times, if it were possible, even the very elect would be deceived by the spirit of anti-Christ.

One could conclude from voting numbers alone, even without a penchant for the prophetic, that indeed something of a supernatural nature took place in the above-mentioned elections. The split of the House of Representatives, the US Senate, and the Presidential popular vote, all point to an almost equal divide. These numbers defy logic and numerical reason. Never in our country’s history has such an equal number divided our country along spiritual, social, and political ideologies. This political tug-of-war is a natural reflection of the war going on in the spirit world. It is interesting to note a Biblical divide that also reflects this almost 50/50 ratio. Two grinding in a field, one will be taken and one will be left. Two sleeping in the same bed, one will be taken and one will be left. Ten virgins, five who have their lamp stands filled with oil (symbolic of spiritual awareness), and five who do not, who, when the Bridegroom comes accepts five and leaves five behind.

Religious, doctrinal, traditional, worldly spirits have settled in the Church and the remnant seed now battle this anti-Christ spirit (See Revelation 6). Tradition, delusion and deception have woven a pattern that seems right, looks rights and even occasionally feels right, but lacks the true worship of God, a deep abiding relationship with God, and, subsequently, the power of God. This has left the Church much like the Armies of Saul, taunted and powerless against the insults of Goliath. Take heart though Saints of God, for God is providing our Davidic deliverance and it is coming in the form of properly functioning Church government. Prophets have accurately detailed the powerful parallel between a new government in Washington and new government God is bringing to the Church. As a sign to the Church, many in the prophetic community have been saying that the new administration in Washington is a reflection of new government (order) in the Church. As prophetically spoken before the inauguration, much of what George Bush is doing is a reflection of what is being done in the spirit. As you watch the administration and its activities, I trust you will see spiritual relevance and connectivity.

In keeping with righteous government, President Bush has taken certain actions; one of the first of which are initiatives created to direct a money flow to proven faith based organizations, effectively enhancing the power of the Church. By having the funds to minister to the poor, the disenfranchised, and the needy, the Church is becoming empowered to do what it is put here to do. This policy has drawn much fire from social agencies and political activist who have previously been the recipients of these funds, stating in a recent televised C-Span debate that “The new President is subverting our power by circumventing us and putting funds into the hands of the Church.” See this with the eye of your spirit! This is both a natural and spiritual phenomenon. GOD WILL SOON FINANCIALLY BLESS HIS CHURCH.

Yes, our President is bringing power (through government funds) to the ones (the Church) who have God’s authority to use it; and too, God is indeed bringing power to His government and to those who have the authority to use it. Additionally, the President has appointed Godly men and women to positions of authority. This too is a sign to the Church: MEN AND WOMEN OF GOD WITH REAL SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY WILL SOON RISE TO POSITIONS OF AUTHORITY WITHIN THE CHURCH.

On February 12th, 2001, Republican President Bush made his first visit away from Washington to a military base in Georgia. It is interesting to note that of all the matters pertaining to this new President, he chose the Army, a military base in a state with two Democratic Senators, and Liberty County, Georgia (a county he did not carry) for his first Presidential visit. We think this continues the prophetic relevance of a new Washington government and a new Church government.

The Army of God has often been routed, witnessing defeat and difficulty in areas where victory should be routine. Our fragmented and divided state of existence has given power to the enemy, however, a new day in on the horizon. Look at the prophetic parallel from President Bush’s recent Ft. Stewart speech, “You will be trained and equipped with the weapons and equipment you need to carry out your mission. You will be given the money (raises) and housing you need to take care of your families. You will be provided the infrastructure here at Ft. Stewart to properly enable you to fulfill your mission. We will do what we need to do to keep good soldiers in the Army. We will restore the health benefits that were taken from you in the past. You are the most deployed division in the Army and what you have to operate with now is inadequate and unacceptable. I will see to it that these changes are made, thus insuring you of my full commitment to see that you have what you need to fulfill your mission.”

These prophetic words again speak with the voice of the spirit, saying to the Army of God, “YOU WILL BE GIVEN THE WEAPONS AND EQUIPMENT YOU NEED TO FULFILL YOUR CALL. I WILL CARE FOR YOU FINANCIALLY AND MATERIALLY IN SUCH A WAY THAT NO LONGER WILL YOU HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT MONEY. I WILL GIVE YOU GOOD HEALTH AND TAKE CARE OF YOUR EVERY NEED. YOU HAVE MY COMMITMENT TO BACK YOU IN EVERY WAY. WHAT PRESENTLY EXIST IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH – I WILL BRING CHANGE PROVIDING YOU WITH ALL YOU WILL EVER NEED TO COMPLETE YOU CALL AND DESTINY.”

As mentioned earlier, much of what God is doing today to empower the Church involves a change in government. It is more than coincidental that the President chose the 12th day of the 2nd month in the 1st year to make his visit to Liberty County – 02/12/01.

Let us examine the Biblical significance of 02/12/01. It is accepted by many that the Spirit of the Two (2) Witnesses has been released into the earth to speak against the spirit of the anti-Christ. Biblically, two (2) is the number of witness and confirmation. Liberty County is the only county in the state not named for a man, so named for its fierce opposition to oppression and home to two (2) of the three signers of the Declaration of Independence from Georgia. Liberty County is home to the Midway Congregational Church, the oldest established church in Georgia. In Biblical perspective, names of cities and regions were relative to significant events taking place in those areas, so too is the name LIBERTY.

Twelve (12) has many Biblically significant points. The number 12 represents Divine order, government, and governmental perfection. In Matthew 26:53 Jesus speaks of twelve legions of angels, denoting the availability of heaven’s governmental powers and authority at His disposal. In Matthew 10: 1-5 and Matthew 19:28 Jesus chose exactly twelve (12) disciples. This was the divine number for Apostolic government. Genesis 35:22 and Revelation 7:2-8 reveals to us that there were twelve (12) tribes in Israel, the extent of God’s government on the earth at that time. Also, there will be twelve (12) tribes who will be sealed, the sum of God’s number for perfection. There are many other Biblical examples of the number twelve (12) and its relative significance to Godly government.

One (1) is the number for God . In summary, 02/12/01, when translated from a numerical Biblical context means CONFIRMS (02) THE GOVERNMENT OR GOVERNMENTAL ORDER (12) OF GOD (01).

In early 1983, we began to realize a special spiritual significance with Liberty County. We recognized that historically there is a relationship between a divine Godly purpose and the rich history of Liberty County. Formerly known as St. John’s Parish, Liberty County citizens were known as a fiercely independent collection of settlers who staunchly opposed the oppression of the Crown. Much of this resistance was based on a desire to be free in worship without imposition from their legalistic King and the desire to have a new governmental order in the colonies.

Perhaps the President’s visit confirmed that a properly functioning government produces righteousness and power as it declares its independence from oppression and powerless ness. As the citizens of St. John’s Parrish, perhaps, we are called again to seek a better government, one that will allow our gifts and callings to come forth. As with the imposed religious restrictions forced by the Crown, perhaps we can recognize the spirit of anti-Christ as he tries to evoke (through the government of the Church) oppressive religious and doctrinal spirits, and thus cause us to seek independence from an unrighteous government, which evokes a cry for one nation (Church) under God, indivisible (unified) with liberty (freedom to flow in our gifts and callings) and (spiritual) justice for all.
