Crisis brings spiritual reality into focus, suddenly enabling us to see spiritual strengths and weaknesses as never before; most notable of which is our level of trust. As we have often said, circumstances do not make the man, but do in fact reveal him to himself. Trust and fear cannot occupy the same temple, and yet we have approached an hour in time that either trust or fear will reach new heights in our being.
Though many on this list live in other countries and know what living in uncertainty is all about, the security and comfort we once felt, as Americans, living on American soil will NEVER be the same. We awakened Tuesday morning September 11th, 2001 to an entirely different way of life; our domestic comfort and naivety awakened to a threat that we have never known nor accepted to any great degree. Denial sends us false signals that this cannot happen again, while deep within our spirit we sense that perilous times lie ahead with the threat of military action and more domestic violence.
As I have recently prayed and sought the comfort of God’s presence, the Holy Spirit directed me to Psalm 27:1-3.
“The Lord is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid? When evil men advance against me to devour my flesh, when my enemies and foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then will I be confident.”
Changes in the earth will continue to point us to our true place of refuge – to our Lord and Savior, Jesus. Our fears must be replaced with confident trust and our trust must lead those with fear to Him who is the True Refuge. A heavenly evangelistic spirit was released amidst the tragedy of Tuesday’s terror. The greatest migration to God in the history of the earth has begun. Let us be lights and beacons to the throne of God. Let us be sensitive to those around us, to those put in our path whose fear reveals that they do not truly know the one who grants trust in place of fear.
True evangelism is when the Spirit of God, operating through a man, UNITES MEN UNTO GOD! What Satan has meant for extraordinary harm, God will use for extraordinary good. I sense the release of an evangelistic anointing to true trusting Saints of God that will propel the greatest move of God in the history of the earth. Our churches will be filled; the hedonistic will be holy, the atheistic will be believers, and a sense of destiny will pervade Christians who for years have sought God’s purpose in their life. We are truly at the end of the age and blessed to be living during the most exciting times this earth has ever seen.
To the true remnant seed of God will be given the Spirit of Power; power to do mighty exploits in both the earth (seen world) and in the heavenlies (unseen world). These exploits will defy man’s logic and reason and will be without explanation – through them will be the divine appearance (revelation) of God dwelling within man.
In conclusion, if there is anything prophetic about two planes from two carriers with two names crashing into two buildings, it is that the two names of those carriers carry great significance – Americans United!
The events of 9-11 are indeed an emergency call to us all, to love and unite and become again, ONE NATION UNDER GOD. Let the anointing that now flows in the earth direct us to the plans and purposes of God during this time of great revival. Let us volunteer to be a part of the great Army of God that is now amassing and making plans for great victory!
