2005 - A Year of Positioning

God is beginning to birth His true Church as "the Sons of God" begin to manifest in the earth. Those coming into Sonship (Romans 8:14) are being tested as never before, as the heat of God's fire intensifies. Many of God's "called" men and women continually fight through the afflictions of the darkest oppression, winning victory after victory as they near the season of their 'time.' A great separation and joining continues as men's hearts are tested and revealed. To those who repent at the revelation of an unclean heart, the journey continues. To those who remain in self-denial, the journey ends.
What is God's purpose for the 'Sons of God'? To vest His corporate authority upon His Church; an authority that exudes the character, revelation, and power of God to all who come in contact with it. What are the objectives of these Sons? To raise a Body/Church that is without spot or wrinkle - a corporate work that is pleasing to the Father, which is totally controlled by the Holy Spirit - every man must hear God as to his part in this work.
As this yet small victorious assembly begins to emerge locally and Internationally, the attacks of the anti-Christ spirit will test and expose the true motives in the hearts of men. As the Corporate Christ begins to come together as a remnant Body, even some in that Body will be separated from the "chosen" (Matthew 22:14). If we are to be part of the promised seed of God we must distinguish between that which is blessed of God, and that which is "chosen." There are many ministries today which are anointed and blessed, but are still works of the flesh, having their origin in the minds and strivings of men; not in the heart of God. Like Saul, their leadership and anointing will pass. While Saul enjoyed the blessing and following of the people, David appeared cursed, and so will God's chosen until the appointed time. Saul's hatred for David, like Ishmael's for Isaac will surface against God's chosen, often from within our own ranks. There is enmity between that which is born of the flesh and that which is born of the Spirit. David would not take the authority for himself but waited patiently, even during intense persecution for God to establish him. Retaliation and self-promotion will not be found in that which is truly born of the God's Spirit. Those who allow circumstances to antagonize them into retaliation or self-promotion will find themselves disqualified.
Glenn Jackson recently wrote, "If we take action to vindicate a wrong done to us, then we prohibit God from righting the wrong. By taking action, we have taken His right of Lordship away from Him in that area of our lives. Even the act of holding unwholesome thoughts against those who have come against us hinders God from working on our behalf…As one walks in absolute (perfect) love, then God will be free to wholly vindicate us." I have failed miserably in this area of my life; I know it, admit it, confess it, and ask God's forgiveness.
What then is the difference between the "called" and the "chosen?" The distinguishing feature between flesh and spirit is the fear of the Lord (obedience). The fear of God is greater than the fear of men or circumstances. An ultimate tests for the "chosen" is deciding who is feared the most, men and circumstances or God. The spiritual nature of man must rule over the soulish (emotional/intellectual) nature. This conflict rages within all being prepared for 'Sonship.' Spirit draws unto Spirit; soul draws unto soul (flesh). God's chosen will always yield to that which is spirit, just as truth will be rejected by those who love pride, self-promotion, and men's approval. The "chosen" of God are those who fear Him the most. Winning the approval of men no longer rules. Being liked and popular has faded as a necessary part of their personality.
As God continues to separate us from the ways of men and those who practice such ways, we will soon find ourselves in a unique company of believers, who on the surface, share common beliefs in coming out of the Babylonian World's System (Revelation 18:4). It is in this unique company (assembly) that God unmask us even more, as those with righteous motives are separated from those with unrighteous motives. This separation will be the most painful. This statement, I know in advance, seems harsh and unchristian, but I ask you to test it.
March on O soldier of God! Be of good cheer, for the Lord of host is orchestrating the events of your life (Romans 11:36). Remain steadfast, unwavering, undeterred, as hell's assault will soon fade into the fiery pit from which it came. Through the smoke and dying embers of your hard fought battle you will emerge victorious, a mighty man (woman) with a mighty purpose. Hail King Jesus, our Lord, our King, arise in the hearts of men that your will be done on earth.
